At the English Garden, we believe that every wedding should
be a masterpiece. Whether you are planning an over-the-top
gala affair or an intimate event for close family and friends,
the experienced design staff of the English Garden can help
you create the wedding of your dreams. Beautiful flowers
are one of the most enduring images of a wedding. It is
our honor to be selected as your florist of choice and to
help you create those beautiful memories. We will help you
find unique and personalized options that will fulfill your
vision for the day while remaining respectful of your budget.
We are happy to arrange meetings at the actual wedding site,
so we can see for ourselves the environment that our flowers
will be seen in.
We Never Offer Packages
Your wedding is a very special time in your life and we
understand how important it is for everything to be perfect.
You will spend hours of time, thought, and money making
it just the way you always wanted it. This is why we do
not offer "packages". Every wedding and every bride is unique.

Our Story
At The English Garden, flowers are more than a business; they are a way of life.
As third generation florists, founders
Warren English and
Cydney Davis-English had
the wonderful experience of literally growing up in the business—their mothers both
kept playpens in the design room. More than sixty years ago, their grandmothers,
Warren’s “Nanny” in Wilmington, NC, and Cydney’s “Granny B” in Roseboro, NC, opened florists
when they were left as single mothers (one divorced, one widowed) with young families to rear on their own.
Their parents each continued their family’s floral tradition. Warren's mother, Sarah, owned and operated
an award-winning florist in Wilmington, NC, until her retirement in the mid-1990s. After Cydney’s
grandmother’s retirement, her father, Richard, opened his first florist and together with her mom, Sidney,
they have been among the state’s most successful and respected shop owners for over forty years.
